Life Aboard a City at Sea The Ships Ships at Port Cruising Guidelines

ACCOMODATIONS quick links
Ships generally offer a variety of accommodations to fit every pocketbook and preference. Some passengers want the total splurge experience—a balcony, sitting area and large bed. Others on a more restricted budget happily settle for smaller inner staterooms and splurge on shore side excursions. Many ships offer the option of a private balcony. While this may cost a bit more, it also allows you to look at wildlife, sunsets and ports in your pajamas or to enjoy a slow morning with room service breakfast or a private evening cocktail. The choice is up to you!

Some cruise lines specialize in high-end luxury cruising, whether on large or small ships. Others emphasize informed and informal adventure. Still others feature a variety of on board activities and dining options. You’ll be happiest if you take the time to research all of these options and then match your likes with an appropriate cruise line.

Passengers with special needs such as wheelchair accessible rooms or dietary restrictions should be sure to make those requirements known when booking accommodations. A travel agent or cruise line representative will be able to provide valuable advice and recommendations.
